Programs
Robert Lewis Christian Karate Academy

As a new entrepreneur in this community, I bring new concepts and skills that others haven’t been exposed to in building their own programs. Those programs follow our methods and frequently want to be a partner in our youth programs. The growth in our circles is exciting to see!

I feel like I’ve made a huge impact on my community, with a number of social media pages I have created to highlight the local activities and opportunities for kids to see and take part in. I’ve partnered with local churches, recreation centers, the NJ Boxing Commission, and the Olympic Taekwondo Association WTF Center in Newark, NJ to train our area kids for our own 2024 Olympic karate team. My family members around the country are on board with my programs and are making use of some of the lessons I’ve learned from Rising Tide Capital.

Rising Tide Capital gave me the hands on experience in marketing my business through social media, through programs like the Start Something Challenge Video Contests, Plan and Pitch Competition, and the 2016 Medina City social media seminar. We were able to build up our contacts and connections with this experience, and are now looking for a facility site to own through our non profit efforts.I hope to further serve my community youth program by expanding with the Team Rasposa olympic training coaches.

Change to me means stepping outside the box, experimenting with new ideas to reinvent yourself and your business. I hope to be the change I want to see in my community, and give kids the opportunities they deserve.
