CBA-ACADEMIA COMUNITARIA DE NEGOCIOS

This 12-week course offers hands-on training in business planning and management:

  • Teaches business fundamentals like budgeting, marketing, bookkeeping and financing
  • Classes are taught in both English and Spanish on weeknights and Saturday mornings
  • Consecutive 3-hour sessions that meet once per week.
  • Offered twice per year, with four concurrent classes in February and September
  • Classes are currently held in Jersey City, the City of Orange Township, Union City and Newark.

  • WHAT’S THE COST

    Tuition for the Community Business Academy is valued at $3,000 per student. Thanks to the generosity of our generous supporters and donors, tuition is waived for every student accepted into the program. All participants, however, must pay a small materials and registration fee towards the course. Based on your household income, your fees are calculatedon a sliding scale ranging from $150 to $375. Additional financial aid is available for those who qualify.

My business may have eventually become successful based on my determination alone. However, it would not be the profitable entity it is today without the knowledge and resources I gained through the CBA. Since graduating, my business has tripled in production, gained repeat business, broke even and has begun to see profits.
